NRDL 2022 New Skater Intake

Updated: Mar 15, 2023

Lace up your skates and get ready to learn roller derby!

We are accepting new skaters in our Freshies program (with some COVID safe changes). This is for non-contact derby sessions. We will teach you how to skate, teach you the tools to start your derby journey and give you a safe, fun, inclusive space to spend time on eight wheels! So come along on to Kahibah Public School on Sunday 6th February 2022 at 2pm to our information session. Bring your skates, pads, helmets and mouth guards. We’ll see you there! If you have questions, post them in our Facebook Event. Email us for an Information Pack before you come along. info@newcastlerollerderby.org.au

COVID NOTE: A reminder, if you have been to a COVID hot spot or are feeling unwell on Sunday, please don’t come to this session. Let’s keep each other safe and well. We are monitoring the COVID situation closely. In 2020 and 2021, that meant we made changes to training time, how we trained how many people were at a session at a time and where we could geographically take skaters from. Our priority is to look after the health and well-being of our league and community. Because things change so rapidly, we might have to change the way we do things quickly to adhere to health guidelines. We will communicate that to all members as it happens and ask that you respect the health guidelines around staying away from training if you are unwell, have visited a hot spot or are waiting to receive test results.
