Lace up your skates and get ready to learn roller derby — or step into one of the most important roles in the sport. Our Learn to Skate program is a non‑contact introduction to roller skating, perfect for anyone starting their journey on eight wheels. As a Freshie, you’ll learn how to skate safely, build confidence, and enjoy a fun, inclusive space to grow.

Derby isn’t just about skating in the pack. You can also learn to be a roller derby official, either on‑skates (referees) or off‑skates (non‑skating officials). Officials are on the track, part of the action, and absolutely essential to every game. We’ll teach you the rules, the roles, and how to be part of the team that keeps the sport fair, safe, and fast‑paced.

If you love the energy of derby but prefer to support in other ways, we also welcome volunteers who help coordinate events and keep our league rolling strong.
