It’s been a massive couple of month for Newcastle Roller Derby, with our representative squad, the SuperNovas, heading to Adelaide to compete at TGSS — one of the biggest roller derby tournaments in the country. The team had an incredible time on and off the track, playing hard, learning plenty, and coming home inspired to keep developing their skills and sharing that knowledge with the league and the wider derby community.
Their momentum doesn’t stop there. The SuperNovas are back in action on 18 July, competing in the 5x5 Roller Derby Championship at PCYC Northern Beaches, where they’ll take on the Northern Beaches Sirens. If you love high‑level derby, this is the one to get to. Grab your tickets here: https://eventbrite.com.au/e/1992762809206?aff=oddtdtcreator

Before the seniors take the track, our Newcastle Juniors will open the night with Scrimming Jets vs Frog Stompers. These young skaters bring huge energy and set the tone for the whole event.

With rep squad achievements, interleague competition, and our Home Teams season heating up, it’s been a busy and brilliant month for NRDL — and there’s plenty more derby to come. See you trackside.
