Home Teams Round 2
Get ready for another high‑energy night of Newcastle Roller Derby as the Harbour Hellcats take on the Fort Smashleys in Round 2 of the Home Teams Competition. After a fierce opening round, both teams are hungry to make their mark, and this matchup promises big hits, fast jams, and plenty of trackside excitement.
Before the main event, our Newcastle Juniors hit the track with a crowd‑pleasing showdown: Frog Stompers vs Scrimming Jets. These young skaters bring huge heart, fearless energy, and the kind of early‑evening hype that sets the tone for a massive night of derby.
If watching all that action gets you thinking about joining the derby community yourself, you’re in luck — our next intake is coming up in May. Whether you want to learn to skate, learn to play derby, become an official (on‑skates or off‑skates), or volunteer to help out at events, we have a role for everyone. Our league thrives because of the wide range of people who get involved — and there truly is a place for everyone.
Bring your friends, grab a seat, and soak up the atmosphere as two powerhouse adult teams battle it out under the lights at Kahibah Public School. Family‑friendly, loud, and full of derby spirit — it’s the perfect night out.

Or at the door. Don’t miss it.
Round 2 looks like it brought plenty of energy and a great sense of community to the competition. It’s always good to see teams getting stuck in, backing each other up and keeping the atmosphere positive. The effort and teamwork on display make these local fixtures enjoyable to follow. It also got me thinking about how important solid planning and teamwork are in any project, including Kingswood construction bali when creating a quality villa in Bali. Looking forward to seeing how the teams go in the next round and whether the competition gets even tighter.
you are great.
