🏆 Grand Final Double Header – 8th November

We’re kicking things off with a double dose of derby action, teaming up with Newcastle Junior Roller Derby for a Grand Final showdown that promises high energy and unforgettable moments.

• Frog Stompers vs Scrimming Jets: Our junior skaters are ready to bring the heat in a match that showcases the future of derby. Expect big hits, fast feet, and fierce fun.

• Fort Smashleys vs Harbour Hellcats: The NRDL Grand Final is a rematch of legends! The Hellcats took the crown in 2024—can the Smashleys flip the script in 2025? One thing’s for sure: this bout will be a banger.

💜 Purple Reign – 22nd November

Next up: the most chaotic, colourful, and referee-confounding event of the year—Purple Reign! Everyone wears purple. No exceptions. No mercy. No hope for the refs.

Whether you’re skating, spectating, or squinting to tell teams apart, this annual tradition is pure derby joy. Come dressed in your finest violet, lavender, or eggplant ensemble and prepare for a game where the only rule is: be fabulous.

🕺 Final Jam: 80s Aerobics Roller Disco – 6th December

We’re closing out 2025 with a neon-soaked, leg-warmer-loving, sweatband-sporting 80s Aerobics Roller Disco! Think Jane Fonda meets Xanadu meets NRDL chaos. Whether you’re a disco diva or a synth-pop skater, this is your chance to boogie on wheels and celebrate another epic year with the NRDL fam.

🎶 Expect big tunes, bigger hair, and the biggest vibes of the season.
