Newcastle Undead Society Zombie March - 2010 NRDL had planned to stage a demo bout in Foreshore Park, but due to the rain it was cancelled. That didn't stop the derby girls and guys however, from donning their zombified make-up at The Loft, and then marching...err...shuffling on through the soggy streets of Newcastle... Destination: Greater Union Towers Cinema for the "Scream Screen" Zombie Film Festival. |

Morriset Mega Market - 2010 The crew from NRDL spent the day at the Morriset Mega Market, running demo bouts and handling out flyers. The shoppers at the markets couldn't get enough, with people of all ages enjoying the free NRDL brand of sports entertainment. |

The Loft Workshop - 21/01/2010 Newcastle's number one youth venue played host to the crew from NRDL. With a team of skaters running attendees through basic derby skills, the workshop proved popular with young and old alike. Allowing the young people to skate and learn skills in a safe enviromnet was an awesome experience for all involved. |

"The Padded Room, with Joe Brown" 2CHR 96.5FM Community Radio - Multiple Dates A little apprehensive about what to expect. Three Derby Dolls sit in the foyer of Cessnock Radio Station. When BAM the door flys open. Joe stands beaming in the doorway. Bursting with energy and short of breath Joe starts telling us how excited he was to have us in the Studio. We all shake hands and have our introductions, no longer apprehensive about what to say on air. Five minutes with Joe has put us all at ease. As it's clear to see he knows what to say, and has enough energy to carry the show for the four of us. Being on air was a fantastic experience, we got the opportunity to tell people what the League was up to. Speak to fans we didn't even know we had, and just have a laugh with Joe. Since our first visit to Cessnock Radio we've been making regular visit to talk to Joe, and all the girls say, how great of a time they have. |

Mattara Festival Parade 2009 - 11/10/2009 NRDL made its Mattara Parade debut with style. With a Pirates Vs. Sailors theme, the crew were dolled up to the nines in pirate regalia and sailor suits, complimented by 8 wheels and a lot of sass. | Reclaim The Night - 30/10/2009 A National March Against Sexual Violence toward Women and Children, Reclaim The Night asked NRDL to walk/skate with other women and children parade participants. Derby is a female driven DIY sport and supporting this event was worthy cause. |

Sydney GLBTQ Mardi Gras Parade 2010 - 27/02/2010 A handful of NRDL skaters joined other regional leagues from around Australia, to participate in Sydney Roller Derby Leagues 2010 mardi gras float. An awesome opportunity to dress up and support our GLBTQ brothers & sisters whilst promoting roller derby at the same time. |

NRDL Carwash & BBQ - 08/11/2009 As the NRDL Derby Dolls started out the day under a tarp of pouring rain. Community spirit prevailed, as did the weather, and although the weather wasn't everything we'd hoped for. The spirit of the day certainly was. Once our President backed that big water tanker truck into the vacant car-park. The people started to notice NRDL. Naturally for our friendliness, and partly, because some of our members were in their swimwear. As more and more people started to notice we had more cars to wash then we knew what then we could almost keep up with. The day was a great success, as fun spirited open Derby Dolls helped out with everything from draining the water to relieve car-park drains, to cooking a sausage sizzle for waiting customers. Daisy-Boo Cannon Shaves For A Cure - 2010 Former NRDL Skater (Currently with SRDL) Daisy-Boo Cannon participated in the Shave For A Cure event amongst a string of onlookers from NRDL.
