The President


Lady Quirkinator
Role:

  • Represents the organization at local, regional, state and national levels.
  • Acts as a facilitator for organization activities and liaisons with other leagues.
  • Drives the league to meeting its strategic goals.
  • Ensures the planning and budgeting for the future is carried out in accordance with the strategic direction of NRDL
  • Complies with the policies and code of conduct and is accountable for their actions
  • Ensures committee members are aware of and fulfil their committee responsibilities and comply with the policies and the code of conduct.
  • Chairs committee and/or executive meetings effectively and efficiently
  • Chairs the annual general meeting.
  • Has a good working knowledge of the constitution, rules and the duties of all Exec, General and subcommittees
  • Can communicate effectively with the leagues members and is approachable.
  • Is well informed of all NRDL activities and is aware of the future directions and plans of the league
  • Is a supportive leader for all NRDL's members
  • Is expected to attend all general and executive meetings (only missing 3 per year)
  • Will be a signatory on NRDL banking
  • Has responsibility for overseeing sponsorship, attendance and saturday social skate.

NOTE: It is recommended that members applying for an exec position hold a role in the committee prior (suggested 6 months).

Vice President


Glitter N Gore
Role:

  • Supports the President in their role when unavailable.
  • Represents the organization at local, regional, state and national levels in collaboration with the President.
  • Regularly liaises with the President about all NRDL matters.
  • Acts as a facilitator for organisation activities and liaisons with other leagues.
  • Drives the league to meeting its strategic goals.
  • Complies with the policies and code of conduct and is accountable for their actions
  • Ensures committee members are aware of and fulfil their committee responsibilities and comply with the policies and code of conduct.
  • Chairs committee and/or executive meetings effectively and efficiently in the absence or at request of the President
  • Has a good working knowledge of the constitution, rules and the duties of all Exec, General and subcommittees
  • Can communicate effectively with the leagues members and is approachable.
  • Is well informed of all NRDL activities and is aware of the future directions and plans of the league
  • Is a supportive leader for all NRDL's members.

Public Officer


Foxy McMuff
Role:

  • Must hold a full list of members (as required with the Department of Fair Trading)
  • Will hold a copy of all Department of Fair Trading NRDL documents
  • Will proactively organise and submit all required legal documents
  • Will be the insurance liaison officer and subject matter expert on insurance for the league
  • Completes legal research in relation to organisation legislation and commitments
  • Has responsibility for overseeing the Promotions and Media committees

Head Coach


DangeRass
Role:

  • Organises coaching sessions/rosters
  • Organises content for the Fresh Meat, Tenderizers, Jerky and Rep team training sessions
  • Trains and advises coaches
  • Creates reference documents for coaching purposes
  • Ensures that skating members skills are assessed and skaters are appropriately advanced through the levels.
  • Visits with other leagues on occasion for coaching purposes.
  • Creates training plans for individual teams and players
  • Attends committee meetings and delegates a coaching committee member to attend if he/she is unavailable.
  • Coordinates the selection committee for all teams
  • Has responsibility for Head Ref, Coaching Committee, Team Selection Panels and attendance officer.

NOTE: Skating background/Knowledge is highly regarded

Treasurer


Firestorm
Role:

  • Hold overall responsibility for NRDL's finances
  • Will execute all financial matters as agreed by the executive committee
  • Will keep intricate records for purposes of auditing and in line with the Department of Fair Trading's requirements
  • Will be main signatory on NRDL bank accounts
  • Will keep records of all members dues
  • Will provide members updates when behind in dues or membership and inform the Head Coach if members are not eligible to skate.
  • Will collect money from members for the purposes of dues and memberships (and other events)
  • Will provide members notices when memberships are due for renewal
  • Will work closely with the secretary to ensure all documents are collected at times of registration or for ongoing dues corrections (such as doctor's certificates)
  • Will produce regular reports for the committee and members. This includes end of financial year reports, post event reports and general updates
  • Will provide assistance with future planning relating to the spending of funds
  • Will organize petty cash and be responsible for the collation of monies at events.
  • Has responsibility for overseeing the Bout Production committee and Assistant Treasurer.

Sexy-tary


Valfreya
Role:

  • Is minute taker for all NRDL meetings (Exec, General and interleague meetings that NRDL has responsibility for)
  • Keeps all NRDL records in a confidential manner
  • Keeps the NRDL history (electronic scrap books) of all media and other NRDL produced material (NRDL archives)
  • Checks the PO box, minimum once per week
  • Presents all correspondence to the general meetings
  • Has responsibility for overseeing the Assistant Sexy-tary.

Grievance Officer


Role:

  • Has the overall responsibility for ensuring that NRDL remains a safe and harassment free environment.
  • Has an expert understanding of the Code of Contact and NRDL constitution.
  • Is the first point of contact for all serious grievance matters, and will be kept informed by their subcommittee of all grievance issues.
  • Will 'keep in touch' with the vibe of the league to ensure all minor issues are dealt with in their infancy to avoid further escalation.
  • Works with the attendance officer to ensure all matters are kept confidential and members are supported by the league when needed.
  • Will deal with all matters identified by members or the committee in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Will keep records of all grievances in confidential manner.
  • Will create all necessary notices of grievance outcomes in line with grievance table or Exec committee decisions.
  • Will guide the committee in making open and transparent decisions that are inclusive and in line with the strategic direction of NRDL.
  • Has responsibility for overseeing the Assistant Grievance Officer.

NOTE: A background or experience in this area is highly regarded.

Role:

  • Will support the treasurer in all duties above.

Sponsorship Officer


Role:

  • Gaining managing and sustaining relationships with sponsors, supporters and friends of NRDL.
  • Seeking and applying for grants and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Ensures sponsors are invited to all NRDL events and are aware of all NRDL plans that involve their business.
  • Attends committee meetings or send a sponsorship sub-committee member in his/her place to report.
  • Sources raffle and player prizes for NRDL events.
  • Organises and co-ordinates 'stalls' at NRDL events.
  • Ensures all sponsors are appropriately covered within our website and promotional material.

Merch Officer


Bermuda Thigh Tangle
Role:

  • Head of Merch will have the overall responsibility for ordering, making merch available for league members and at events, completing inventory, storing merch and merch float.
  • Head of merch will also organise merch for events and set up the Merch stand.
  • Head of Merch will utilise the subcommittee to brainstorm ideas, source quotes and ensure that all merch responsibilities are completed.
  • Head of Merch takes members personal/team orders when required and ensures merch is made available to members of the leagues outside of events.
  • Head of Merch liaisons with treasurer to ensure merch budget is kept.
  • Head of Merch liaisons with graphics team for shirt/merch designs.
  • Head of Merch is aware of all up-coming NRDL events and ensures merch is well stocked.
  • Provides all future merch plans to the committee for approval, or facilitates all approved ideas from the committee
  • Co-ordinates merch casuals and subcommittee.
  • Attends committee meetings and delegates a member to attend on their behalf if he/she is unavailable.

Head Referee


Major Puddles
Role:

  • Will co-ordinate the training (skating and referee skills) of all dedicated referees and non-skating officials.
  • Will co-ordinate referees at home events and when requested for away events.
  • Ensure refs and NSOs adhere to the Referee/NSO code of conduct.
  • Ensure that referee skills are assessed and referees/NSOs are provided with opportunities to further their skills as appropriate.
  • Will ensure the needs of referees/NSOs are represented in the committee.

NOTE: Good understanding of WFTDA rules are desired.

Fresh Meat Co-ordinator


Beaver Destruction
Role:

  • Is the go-to person for all fresh meat and those considering fresh meat.
  • Ensures fresh meat packs are up to date and available from the venue.
  • Makes recommendations to the committee about timing for fresh meat intakes, recruitment promo and raises any other identified issues.
  • Responds to all fresh meat emails received via info@ address.
  • Keeps records of all interested parties for future fresh meat promo.
  • Works with promo when approaching fresh meat intakes.
  • Ensures they are present at registration days to field questions and assist sexy-tary and treasurer gain all necessary items from new members.

Graphic Design Co-ordinator


One Up
Role:

  • Is responsible for co-ordinating the graphic design committee and ensuring all items created are in line with NRDL expectations.
  • Is responsible for submitting designs for events, bouts, league documents and NRDL merch.
  • Attends Committee Meetings and presents designs for approval.
  • Co-ordinates the graphic design subcommittee to ensure all work gets completed in line with NRDL needs.

Bout Production Officer


Tar'ential Pain
Role:

  • Responsible for coordinating the seamless running of all NRDL home bouts including:
    • On the day bout jobs are filled (preference to NRDL members)
    • NSO roles are filled
    • Creation and distribution of a running sheet for the event
    • Support for all committees in running their roles in collaboration with the events objectives
  • Ensures all jobs completed prior to bout to ensure smooth running
  • Ensures Venue, seating, DJ, St John's Ambo, Half-time Entertainment are booked 2-3 months prior to bout.
  • Works in collaboration with treasury to ensure all pre bout financial commitments are completed.
  • Coordinates all bout activities and volunteers with support from the relevant committees (sponsorship, merch, media, promotions, Head Coach and Head Ref, etc)
  • Is the primary contact on the day of the bout (unless delegated to bout production subcommittee members)

NOTE: Strong communication and delegation skills are a must for this position.

Role:

  • Ensures monthly events are held (non-bouting events) for NRDL to raise money for the leagues future.
  • Coordinates and delegates at these events.

Attendance Officer


Role:

  • Responsible for organising the attendance roll and reporting back to the coaching committee or Exec on levels of attendance for skating members.
  • Attendance officers will also liaise with members confidentially to note when members are unable to come to training (and their reasons) whilst offering support or escalating issues appropriately and confidentially to the Exec Grievance officer or Head Coach.
  • Attendance Officer is part of the coaching committee and will also work closely with the Grievance Officers.
