Biggest Derby Regret: Will remain my secret.
Favorite Off-Skates Activities: The after parties.
Motto: Omnes Magnum (Everything Big)
Which player inspires you on and off the track: Brigand Strong. Her professionalism, talent and committment are a credit to her. Add to this her humility and she really is a stand out figure for me.
Who in all of derbydom do you consider your rival: Hard to say with so many great commentators around, but my best friendly rivalry is Mic Riot from Pirate City (Auckland)
How did you get into derby: I'd been following the NY league, the Gotham Girls since about 2006. My dear friend Beaver Destructon, knowing this, told me a local league was forming and asked me to come with her to one of the first meetings. I confessed I could not skate, but kind of knew the rules of derby and the ladies were kind enough to include me from then on.
What is you worst or most interesting derby-related injury; Repeated back trouble... not that interesting really.
Have I skated before: Not before I found derby.
What do my family think: That it is strange, but I seem to have found my 'community'.
Who is your derby inspiration: Dumptruck (US Announcer). I may not have his sexy gravel voice or his hideous dress sense (spandex is just wrong), but he has the energy and charisma to make listening to him call a match a delight.
What is your favourite position on the track: I don't play, but my favorite position to watch is Pivot. Unsung heroes of the track - the tacticians.
How do you get psyched for a game: Britney Spears, vocal exercises, prayer and sinus tablets.
Do you have a derby persona to go with your name: No, WYSIWYG.
