Anyone who has seen a Hellcat and Smashley home bout or Dockyard Dames game can tell you how much fun our skaters and officials have playing this unique sport. Behind the short shorts and knee high socks our members work their tooshies off - hours of training, promotion and organisation, keeping up to date on new skills and strategy, and bringing the awesomeness that is Derby to its ever growing fan base.

If you're keen to play derby at some stage you may also be interested in a less intensive skating experience - Come along to our Saturday Social Skates!! Saturdays 11am- 1pm at Gateshead Sportsworld Oakdale rd, Gateshead. $10 non mem, $8 NRDL mem, $5 Skate hire (YES - there is skate hire but feel free to bring your own). There is no ongoing skating commitment- You can come every weekend or just once, whatever works for you. This is a good place to work on basic skills to work your way to becoming a full skating member.
